The holiday let
Harbour Loft is let for the purpose of a holiday only.
Booking and deposits
A deposit of 25% is required at the time of booking, with the remainder payable 4 weeks before the stay commences. If you cancel more than 6 weeks before the arrival date, the deposit will be refunded. If you cancel less than 6 weeks before this date, the deposit may not be refunded if the booking cannot be resold. Payment can be made by bank transfer, PayPal or cheque.
After the booking is confirmed, the deposit should be paid within 5 working days. Once a booking has been accepted I will make every effort to honour it. However, in exceptional circumstances I reserve the right to make changes or cancel the booking.
Arrival and departure
In order to allow for cleaning, please do not arrive before 4 pm, unless agreed beforehand. For the same reason, please leave Harbour Loft before 10 am on the day of departure, unless agreed beforehand.
The number of persons occupying Harbour Loft must not exceed four. Electricity, bed linen and towels are provided. The electricity, water and heating systems and other equipment provided are not warranted to be in working order throughout the holiday tenancy. Every effort will be made to rectify faults (and guests must allow the owner/tradesperson access in order that this can be done) but, especially if the fault occurs at a weekend, it may not be possible to do so. Compensation may be offered in such a circumstance but this is not guaranteed.
The flat should be left as you found it. In the event of damage beyond normal wear and tear, guests agree to reimburse the owner for costs arising from excessive clean-up, missing items, repairs and replacement.
Please note that mobile phone signals in the area are weak.
Please contact the owner promptly if you believe you have left personal belongings at the property. Items left behind will be held for 30 days before being donated to charity or discarded.
Please note that the old steps up to the garden are steep and uneven, with some shallow steps and high risers, and guests use these at their own risk. They are not suitable for anyone without a good level of fitness, and definitely not suitable for those with mobility problems or for small children.
No smoking or pets
Harbour Loft is strictly no smoking throughout. No pets are allowed - sorry!
Please let me know if you are unhappy about anything immediately so that I can attempt to resolve the issue. If you are still dissatisfied with the outcome, please send the complaint in writing to me within 14 days of your return home. If you do not bring the complaint to my attention during your stay, it will obviously not be possible to rectify any problems.

The owner accepts no liability for any accident, damage, loss, injury or inconvenience to either person or property which guests may suffer or incur while staying in the property.
If a cancellation is made more than 6 weeks before the arrival date, the deposit will be returned. If it is made less than 6 weeks before the arrival date, the deposit may not be returned. The owner reserves the right to cancel a booking if the deposit is not paid within 5 days of making the booking. If the outstanding balance is not received 4 weeks before the date of arrival, the booking may be cancelled. In this case, the deposit paid may not be refunded. If the booking is resold, in whole or in part, the deposit will be refunded in whole or in part, less a deduction for any costs incurred. It is recommended that you obtain travel insurance to cover delayed arrival or cancellation.
